Cost-share program

The 2026 Cost-share Program is OPEN

The following cost-share programs were available to PPF members in 2025:

  1. Cover Crops – single species: $15/acre; max 50 acres, multispecies: $30/acre; max 50 acres
  2. Buffer Strips (harvestable, pollinator, prairie strip) – $325/acre; max 4.6 acres
  3. Depth of Soil Over Bedrock – max $1,500/member
  4. Split Nitrogen Application – $10/acre; 75 acres
  5. Low Disturbance Manure Application – $15/acre; max 75 acres
  6. Nitrogen Inhibitor/Stabilizer – $10/acre; max 50 acres
  7. Spring Termination of Alfalfa – $15/acre; max 50 acres
    1. Followed by No-till/strip till – $30/acre; max 50 acres
  8. No-till/strip till – $15/acre; max 100 acres
  9.  Fall Termination of Alfalfa Followed by a Multispecies Cover Crop – $30/acre; max 50 acres
  10.  No-till New Seeding Alfalfa into a Cover Crop – $20/acre; max 50 acres
  11.  Dribble Bar Manure Application on Standing Corn – $30/acre; max 50 acres

To participate in PPF’s cost-share program(s), please indicate which program(s) you would like to enroll in and the number of acres/samples you are enrolling. Receipts or other appropriate documentation are required for all programs, in addition to the completion of the PPF Conservation Practice Survey. All data collected will remain confidential. Final cost-share payments are dependent on available funds and will be distributed in early 2024. For specific program details, see page 2 on the PPF cost-share program enrollment form listed below. Forms are due Dec. 1.
